A Dress from Shop Stevie + a Discount Code

Image
I love new clothes, especially anything that makes me feel extra girlie and feminine. So when Stefanie from Shop Stevie  emailed me asking me to collaborate with her and her shop, I was SO darn excited! I met Stefani when her and I were in the same ward up in Logan. Her and her little family are adorable, so when she contacted me I was thrilled! And when she asked me to choose one piece to feature on my blog…it literally took me days to get back to her. I just couldn’t decide, everything was so cute! But, after going back and forth on a few different things, I decided on this little black floral dress . And it did not disappoint when it arrived. It fits as advertised, it’s super duper comfortable and I think it’s as flattering on as it was on the site. What I love about this dress is that I could easily pair it with some booties and a wide-brim hat and go a little casual for the day, or you can pair it with heels and a red lip and totally dress it up, as you wil...

My Experience Using Lipsense

Image
I know I know, I am way late in the game when it comes to trying Lipsense. It’s funny it took me so long because not only do I love makeup, but lipstick/gloss is my favorite makeup genre. I own probably over 100 lip products…so yeah, I like anything that has to do with lips. But, while I had heard of it and read all of the reviews about it and how amazing it is, I also knew the price ($55 for just the starter kit!!) and I just could never bring myself to spend that much on something I had never tried before, let alone knew if I’d like or not. But, I have now tried it and wanted to let you guys know my experience with it and what I thought of it. HOW I GOT INTO IT: I had a distributor contact me, Charl ene , through Instagram. She asked if I wanted to purchase it. She wasn’t the first person to do this…I’ve had many people try and sell me Lipsense, and I’ve always politely declined. And it was no different with Charlene. I just simply told her t...

Matchy Matchy

Hello there! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! Mine was wonderful, we had a date, we snuggled, we played. It was great, and as always, much too short. So, as you probably already know since it’s December, it’s getting extremely cold here in Utah, and it just keeps getting colder and colder. I am not loving it. I am actually a Summer girl at heart.  Each time Winter comes around, I am constantly complaining to Brett that we need to move. You could put me in the middle of the Equator where it was 120 degrees year-round and I would love it. But, I must admit, I would miss one thing about Winter, and that’s the clothes. I love all the clothes that come with cold weather…scarves, boots, jackets/coats, sweaters, cardigans and hats. Give me all of it! And speaking of hats, take a look at my latest purchase… I’m a little obsessed with beanies , especially these ones that have the little puff ball on top! So you can imagine how excite...

For the Hair: Salt Spray vs. Wave + Shine Spray

Image
I discovered Sea Salt Spray a few years ago when I was trying really hard to make my hair get the beachy waves I would see, but my hairspray, gel and mousse (do people still use that?) wouldn’t do it for my hair. It would just fall flat after an hour and I’d be stumped. Then, while scrolling Pinterest, I found this sea salt spray , and honestly, it changed the way I did my hair. It completely solved my issue of wanting to keep my waves/curls in tact, but more on the beachy side and not on the super done-up side. And I’ve been using it ever since. But, as much as I love it, the one thing I don’t love about it is that it’s hard on my hair. It works, don’t get me wrong, but it makes my hair salty to a point to where I can’t really style it much after I use it because it’s pretty heavy. That’s why I don’t use it until day 7 on my hair (I talk more about going 10 days without washing my hair here ). So when I went to get my fabulous...

Lipstick Love: Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick

Image
So if you know me even in the slightest, you know I am a little obsessed with lipstick and lip color. I am a sucker for berries, nudes, reds and glosses. So basically, all the lipsticks. So when my gals over at H2Blow Dry Bar   offered me a couple of their Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme  to try after they gave me an amazing blowout , I jumped at the chance! I had never tried the Jouer brand, but have always wanted too. I got to choose two colors. I had to, of course, choose a red. Ever since Tay Tay started wearing the red lip a few years ago, I can’t stop and I won’t stop. I used to think I would never be able to have the guts to wear it, but once you go red, you go there over and over again. There’s just something about a red lip that’s just so timeless, sophisticated and classy. So when I saw this color, Brique, I picked it up immediately. And what I didn’t realize is that this gloss is a matte gloss, which I have never tried before, and I must say…I f...
