Lipstick Love: Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme Liquid Lipstick

So if you know me even in the slightest, you know I am a little obsessed with lipstick and lip color. I am a sucker for berries, nudes, reds and glosses. So basically, all the lipsticks.

So when my gals over at H2Blow Dry Bar  offered me a couple of their Jouer Long-Wear Lip Creme to try after they gave me an amazing blowout, I jumped at the chance! I had never tried the Jouer brand, but have always wanted too.

I got to choose two colors. I had to, of course, choose a red. Ever since Tay Tay started wearing the red lip a few years ago, I can’t stop and I won’t stop. I used to think I would never be able to have the guts to wear it, but once you go red, you go there over and over again. There’s just something about a red lip that’s just so timeless, sophisticated and classy.

So when I saw this color, Brique, I picked it up immediately. And what I didn’t realize is that this gloss is a matte gloss, which I have never tried before, and I must say…I fell in love with it immediately! I told Brett as he was shooting these photos (these pics was my first time trying these glosses) that I wanted to run and buy 10 more in this color! I love the matte!

The second color I wanted was to be something different and shiny, so when I saw Jouer’s new Metallic Color Collection they just added to their Lip Creme Collection, I definitely wanted to try one! I settled on a gorgeous champagne color, Filigree. It was light, fresh and felt feathery on my lips. I really love the color. It’s obviously not nearly as stark as the Brique. It’s still dressy and a little more natural, not nearly as loud and I love that.

Then, looking at the colors as I was applying them, I had the thought of putting the metallic over the red matte. And it turned out beautifully! Loved putting these two colors together. I don’t always do this, but I knew the metallic would be so gorgeous over the deep red. It gave it a totally different vibe. I liked it a lot! And I just need to add, this combination is the color I am wearing in this photo (I’ve had so many questions about my lip color in that pic).

I am so glad I got to try out the Jouer line! Their Lip Creme is amazing, and not only are the colors bold and beautiful, but it’s advertised as long-lasting for a reason. I wore the red with the metallic over it for a full 7 hours (I kissed my husband quite a bit in that time, ate both lunch and dinner and it didn’t come off) before I needed to reapply or moisturize my lips. I didn’t expect that at all! The color stayed so well and my lips didn’t feel dry until the 7 hours were up. It was pretty wonderful. Definitely will be buying more.

And if you are in Utah, go on over to H2Blow Dry Bar to get your blowout on, and also shop Jouer’s lip Creme Collection and more from the Jouer makeup brand as well! The girls there were super knowledgeable about it and were more than happy to let me try colors and test whatever I wanted. I will for sure be going back to get more lip creme.

Thank you H2Blow Dry Bar for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.
