Eyebrow Tutorial

Image
Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and got to relax and spend some down time with your families. I seriously feel like I have been on a different planet the last 5 days. We went to our family cabin the day before Thanksgiving and got home yesterday, and since we don’t have any sort of cell service or data up there, we were kind of living in our own little world for almost an entire week. It was so nice, but it’s nice to be back to the real world too. But, in other news…guess what has finally made it to my blog?? My first tutorial!!!! And it’s all about my eyebrows! I am so sorry that it took me a week longer than I wanted to get this up for you guys! My voice pretty much back to normal so I did my voiceover for it yesterday so it could be up for you on this cold wintery morning. Now, I’m totally new to doing tutorials and videos, so I already know that I am not super natural in front of the camera or when I am talking about what I am ...

Designer Wood Watch from JORD

Image
My husband is a total watch guy. Since I’ve known him, he’s always worn a watch and loves shopping for them, especially dreaming of the ones that he would want for birthdays or Christmas. So when JORD reached out to us offering my husband a watch to try, I was super excited, and so was he! His Fossil watch broke a few months ago, and we just haven’t had the time to go buy him a new one. So this was perfect timing. As we went to the JORD website , we couldn’t believe how gorgeous and unique their watches were, both the  women’s watches and mens’ watches . What makes them so different? They are made out of all different kinds of woods from around the world, which makes them look and feel like one of a kind. After going back and forth between like 6 watches because he loved them all, the watch that Brett chose was the Frankie Zebrawood Men’s Watch in Navy . The design was so pretty and sophisticated and exclusive, not mainstream like so many watch...

How To Go 10 Days Without Washing Your Hair

Image
In my last post I talked about why I go at least 10 days without washing my hair. I am hoping it made sense, and I can’t explain how excited I was for all the feedback from all you cuties who said you couldn’t wait to detail how I do it and which products I use! Well, I’m here to keep my post promise! Let’s get started 🙂 Products & Accessories I use to go 10 days without washing: Hairspray Dry Shampoo Just switched to this kind literally like 4 days ago and it’s amazing! Sea Salt Spray Elastics Elastic Headband Another favorite set Bobby Pins (the best bobby’s ever!) Comb Flat Iron Lather, Rinse, Repeat: For the longest time I was washing my hair like a normal person…in steaming hot water when I was in the shower. Well, since I dyed my hair red, I have been washing it in cooler water…not freezing (well, sometimes if I am really not wanting any fading) but cool; bearable if you will. It’s not bad, and at first I was just doing...

My Dirty Little Secret

Image
I’ll tell you a secret…I go at least 10 days without washing my hair! I’m sure you are thinking: “Sick! That’s disgusting! I would never do that!” I used to think the same thing, so I totally get it. But trust me! Once you get your hair to go that long you will get addicted to it. I literally cannot even remember the last time I washed my hair earlier than at least 12 days. No joke. I’ve been doing this for so long that it is just natural to me. (Collage is the order I do my hair to go at least 10 days. It varies, but this is the gist…I’ll go into detail about it in my next post) I used to wash my hair every couple of days up until my early college days. I never knew there was another way to do it, so like everyone else, I washed my hair at least every couple days, or my hair was a grease ball. But, once I hit college I started hating how much time and effort it was taking to do this; especially since I shared a bathroom with 3 other girls. So, I started making my hair go longer. D...

Family Photo's Fall 2016

Image
Well that’s embarrassing. I’ve been silent for an entire week! Apologies. Last week was nuts, and I was in a little rut. But, I’m back. And I have a goodie post for you…well, at least I think it’s a goodie! It features the most important people in my life: my boys! On Saturday we got our family pictures taken. My friend, who is an extremely talented photographer over at Chelsea Mcintyre Photography , took them, and we could NOT be happier about them. She is the amazing woman who is behind Levi’s newborn photos we had taken in the hospital, you can view those here . We love and cherish those pictures so much, that when she offered to do our family pictures, there was no way I was going to refuse. And remember how I said she took them Saturday? She got them all back to me YESTERDAY MORNING! She’s amazing you guys! Everything for this shoot set up perfectly.  My dress  (<–exact dress, similar at bottom of post) came a few days faster than ...
