Family Portraits 2017

When we went down to St. George last month, the thought came to me on the drive down that it would be so cool to have family photos taken of us with the beautiful red-rock backdrop. Of course I think of this as we are driving, so we didn’t bring any clothes with us. And we were only going down there for 4 days, so I was looking up photographers like crazy trying to find someone with a style I liked. Ashley Meagan Photography‘s style was at the top of my list. Her photography is gorgeous, candid and the way she edits is a dream. And I was so pleased that she was available and happy to take our photos. So we did some quick shopping and set up a date and time.

Our shoot ended up getting pushed back twice in those 4 days, so we ended up taking these the last night we were there, which happened to be the same day we went to Zion’s National Park. So you are looking at all of us after a long day hiking and driving and sweating. I was so nervous the kids wouldn’t be happy, but Ashley honestly is so good that you can’t even tell Levi was a very tired little bugger most of the time. She was amazing at making him and Dylan smile and feel comfortable, and I loved that.

Guys. Guys. Yes I said that twice. I seriously can’t tell you enough how much I am OBSESSED with these photos. I don’t think I’ve ever had family portaits taken that I have loved more than these. And for how much of a time crunch we were on for finding outfits and time to do these, that’s saying a lot. Usually I know weeks in advance when we are having photos taken. Everything just fell together perfectly. And the coloring, the red rock, the editing. Oh, it’s just delicious. She was amazing at both capturing candids and posed shots, both of all of us and separate also. Behold (I had the hardest time narrowing them down):

Ashley Meagan Photography did such a fabulous job of not only picking the most perfect location, but with capturing us in our element. I can’t say enough how wonderful she was. She was so darling and we instantly connected. She was just the sweetest and we loooooooved working with her. If you are ever down in St. George, look her up. She seriously is incredible at everything she does.

Thank you again Ashley! You are seriously amazing! These photos are going to be displayed everywhere all over our new house. I can’t wait 🙂
