Leather and a Sweater
Hey! So I am sitting here with a Diet Coke (dirty of course) and a roll of Tollhouse cookie dough with a spoon inside of it, having just put both kiddos to bed. This feels like heaven. I am in the midst of sleep-training my baby, and my husband is out of town on business, and obviously if he were here relaxing with him would be the usual and most wonderful. But, when he is gone, this is the next best thing. Just me, the TV, my jammies, my computer and drink and a treat; relaxation at its finest for this mama. There is almost nothing better than knowing I have the next few hours all to myself to do nothing but blog and watch The Bachelor (can we all just agree that Corinne is a just a *tad* on the desperate side and needs to flee the premises??).
But anyways, lately I have really been trying to pair different things in my closet with other items in my closet I would never think to pair it with…haha did you follow that? Basically I am putting items that I didn’t think would go together before together, and I a finding that by doing this, my closet has expanded by a lot! I feel like I have so much more to wear and it’s awesome! And Saturday morning I was going through my closet and found this sweater, and was going to wear it alone, but thought I would try it with this new leather jacket I just bought last month, and I LOVED how they looked together! I never would’ve thought to pair them but I am so glad I did. They are so different but I love how they compliment each other.

I am in love with the fact that turtlenecks are full-on back in style! I actually bought this sweater a few years ago at H&M, but now when I go shopping I see them everywhere! I love it! And the motorcycle jacket I got on Amazon…random right? I had another one that I got years and years ago but didn’t love it, it just didn’t fit well. This one has the insert with the hood and I love that I can change the look of it by taking the insert out, but kept it on for these photos because I love the feel it adds to the outfit.

And the specks? They are prescription, but I never wear them because only one of my eyes is slightly under great vision, so they aren’t super necessary. But, I love the look of them so I wear them every now and then. I found a bunch online that I added to the bottom of the post that were around $6…so cheap! I think I may buy a few more pairs because glasses can add so much to a look.

The top knot just completed the look. I always wear my hair down or in a low bun, and I knew I wanted something different for this outfit so putting my hair up was the obvious solution to be able to showcase both the hood and the neckline of the sweater.
I don’t love Winter, but I love the clothes that come with it. It’s so fun to play around and layer. Can’t wait to do more outfit posts of clothes that I would never pair together.
Hope you all have a fabulous day, and stay warm out there!
